Each habitat is an integration exercise across a dozen partner companies. Modular Habitats is the systems integrator — the division that specifies how subsystems interact. Each relationship is typed: what Modular Habitats requires from upstream suppliers to build and operate.
→ METALLIC SCIENCES — requires Hex-Cell panel skins, Ti-aerogel structural insulation, Clear ALON glazing for Aqualis and panoramic terrestrial applications, titanium structural lattice for pressure vessels, mirror arrays for Selene solar collection.
→ FOUNDATION KINETICS — requires FK-1 Colossus and FK-2 Mule for terrestrial assembly. FK-5 Arachne for composite structural fabrication. FK-4 Scarab for autonomous maintenance and ongoing repair.
→ MAXWELL CONTINUUM — requires Circadian Shell tunable lighting, self-tinting smart glass, UV-C antifouling for Aqualis, full-spectrum false-sky emitters for Selene and Geo-Core.
→ HIGHFIELD MAGNETICS — requires seismic maglev isolation pads, acoustic decoupling, Mass Driver electromagnetic launcher for Selene, maglev internal transit for Geo-Core.
→ STELLAR FURNACE — requires compact power modules for Estate and Citadel terrestrial installations. Fusion reactor for Geo-Core Haven and Selene Settlement. Without the SF-1, the larger habitat classes have no power source.
→ MATTER KITCHEN — requires automated food preparation, water purification, greywater recycling. Interfaces with Phase Flash Oasis for integrated water processing.
→ CELLULAR FOUNDRY — requires living garden atria, algae bioreactors for CO₂ scrubbing and protein production, Biorock reef substrate for Aqualis. Bio-regenerative life support is the long-term alternative to mechanical ECLSS.
→ PHASE FLASH — requires cold-trap atmospheric filtration, geothermal energy extraction, thermal regulation.
→ VAPOR VACUUM — requires atmospheric pumping for air quality systems, vacuum insulation for Hex-Cell panels.
→ BRAINWAVE SYSTEMS — requires sleep-stage tracking, circadian wake protocol, active air-pressure suspension mattress.
→ AETHERIC SCIENCES — requires geological digital twin computing for Geo-Core, facility-wide monitoring and adaptive environment control.
→ LORENTZ AEROSPACE — requires plasma containment envelopes for Project Aether atmospheric habitats. The Aether gondola cannot fly without the XR-1 plasma envelope providing lift.
→ POLYMER PRESS — requires Kevlar-Vectran soft-goods pressure shells for Meridian expandable orbital modules, structural foam for hull reinforcement, compliant seal materials for Hex-Cell panel joints.
