The structural primitive is the Hex-Cell — a hexagonal panel that tessellates into arbitrary floor plans without dead-air corners or material waste. Hexagonal geometry is structurally efficient: loads distribute across six vertices rather than four, eliminating the stress concentrations that accumulate at the corners of rectilinear framing.[3]

The panel. Metal-faced skins over vacuum-insulated aerogel core, supplied by Metallic Sciences. Thermal performance exceeds R-40 per inch — comparable to aerospace cryogenic insulation, applied to residential construction. Weight is a fraction of conventional masonry. The same panel accepts optional hardened skins (ballistic-rated composite from Polymer Press molecularly aligned polymer matrices) for high-security installations, or transparent sections (Clear ALON glazing) for panoramic walls, without changing the structural interface.[4]

The assembly. Foundation Kinetics FK-1 Colossus humanoids and FK-2 Mule quadrupeds perform the physical assembly. Hex-Cells arrive on standard flatbed trailers in shipping-container form factor. The robotic crew unstacks the panels and interlocks them with sub-millimeter precision. A 5,000 sq ft villa — sealed, climate-controlled, rated for seismic Zone 4 and hurricane Category 5 — erects in 48 to 72 hours. No formwork, no poured concrete, no wet trades.[5]
